These terms keep the platform fair, safe, and practical for everyone using SAJobMarket. By continuing to use the site you agree to the sections below and any linked policies referenced from them.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using SAJobMarket, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the related policies on this site, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use SAJobMarket to submit jobs, apply to jobs, or subscribe to alerts. Business users must have authority to act on behalf of the employer they represent.
Acceptable use
- Do not post unlawful, discriminatory, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, scraping abuse, or platform disruption.
- Do not impersonate companies or misrepresent hiring authority.
- Do not collect personal information from candidates outside of legitimate hiring workflows.
- Do not submit content that violates another party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights.
Employer responsibilities
- Ensure listing content is accurate, current, and lawful under South African employment, labour, and data laws.
- Provide valid hiring contact details and transparent role requirements, including salary ranges where required by law.
- Honour Employment Equity Act requirements, reasonable accommodation obligations, and non-discrimination rules when advertising roles.
- Respect candidate personal information according to POPIA principles.
Job seeker responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when applying for roles through SAJobMarket.
- Do not submit false qualifications or misrepresent experience.
- Understand that SAJobMarket is a discovery and communication platform, and the final hiring decision rests with the employer.
- Verify employer legitimacy before sharing sensitive personal information such as ID numbers or banking details.
Content moderation
SAJobMarket may reject, edit, unpublish, or remove content that violates policy, creates risk, or reduces user trust. We also publish our own editorial briefs and guides, which remain the intellectual property of SAJobMarket unless stated otherwise.
Intellectual property
All original SAJobMarket editorial content, site design, branding, and compiled listing data are the property of SAJobMarket. You may not republish substantial portions of our original content without written permission. Employer-submitted content remains the responsibility of the employer submitting it.
Third-party links and services
SAJobMarket may link to third-party sites, government portals, or employer pages. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Use them at your own discretion.
Advertising

Limitation of liability
SAJobMarket provides platform services on an "as available" basis and is not liable for hiring outcomes, third-party actions, indirect damages, or losses arising from your use of the site, to the maximum extent permitted by South African law. Indemnification

Termination

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled by the courts of South Africa, unless another forum is agreed in writing.
